The Cancer Full Super Moon is the first lunar gateway of the traditional new year, welcoming us into 2026 but this is not the moment for huge goals or unrealistic resolutions.

We’re still in the darkness of winter, still in the Year of the Snake until 17 February, still shedding what no longer belongs before we step into the fire and momentum of the Year of the Horse.

My rituals are simple but sacred: fairy lights to soften the dark, a fire to release what no longer serves me, candles with beautiful aromatherapy oils, warm nourishing drinks, cosy socks and blankets.
I journal, I pull cards, and I listen for what’s hidden in the shadows.

And for me, this day holds even more meaning 19 years ago, I was preparing to give birth to my daughter.

A reminder that even in the darkest season, life-changing light can emerge.

So tonight, I celebrate the darkness, the rest, and the rebirth that always follows.

The New Moon in Sagittarius on the 20th December is the last moon of 2025.

It comes the day before the winter solstice which feels even more powerful so use this energy to really wrap up 2025 with a clean slate.

Sagittarius is all about pulling back the bow and arrow and pointing it in the direction you want to aim for.

But first we need to review what has happened to take us off course in 2025.

In order to create new intentions and what our soul is yearning for we must clear out the old and make room for new adventures.
